Remember the days when you could show a cross-dressing satan lobster on a children’s cartoon show without parents bitching about it?
I am 23 years old and about to graduate from Kent State University. However, I have not lost my love of toys after all of these years. As a kid I found my grandparents' house to be a wonderful place. Reason? They'd kept all the toys they could from when my mother and uncle were little. Because of this I am very familiar with toys from the 1970s and some from the 1980s. My grandparents also were signed up for a children's book club. I grew up having many amazing children's books from the 1970s read to me. There was a large collection of these hardcover books in my room at their house. These experiences spawned a lifelong love of toys and books. Now, I blog to remember all the toys that I had, and all the toys that existed before me. Also, I get to enjoy watching my little cousin play with my toys and also the toys from her dad and her aunt's childhood. I love watching her make her own memories of toys and childhood.
